• NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting

    NRA Instructor: Don Lankford (NRA#1484815)

    This NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is designed to educate the students the basic knowledge of firearm; how to select the best firearm for personal defense; how to own and handle a firearm safely; and the introduction of defensive shooting.

     

    The Course Details:

    1. Gun safety rules
    2. Proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols
    3. Ammunition knowledge and selection
    4. Pistol selection and storage
    5. Shooting fundamentals
    6. Pistol inspection and maintenance
    7. Marksmanship, and shooting range safety

     

    The Course Length is 8-9 hours with 3 parts, most likely it could be finished in 2 days. It includes:

    1. Classroom --- 4 hours Classroom teaching
    2. Virtual Range --- 2 hours Virtual range practice
    3. Live Range --- 2-3 hours live range time, students will complete live fire training and a nationally standardized target shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA Certified Instructor

     

    The Course Size is 12 or fewer students

     

    Class Fee is $150.00 per person using our handgun, ammunition, NRA the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook

    $50.00 deposit (none refundable) when booking, the balance be paid before class started.

    Students will have $25.00 discount if you want to join live range "East Alabama Gun Club". Please speak to instructor.

    Students must wear:

    1. Eye and Ear Protection (you may purchase form our store)
    2. Wear close toed shoes
    3. Wear a brimmed cap especially for female students
    4. NO low cut tops, NO skirts for your own protection

    Students will receive NRA the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, will take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination at the end of Classroom Teaching, and will receive a course completion Certificate bearing the signature of the NRA Secretary and your NRA Certified Instructor.
