• NRA Basic Personal Protection In The Home Course​

    Description: This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, and to provide information on the law-abiding individual’s right to self-defense.


    This course is for law-abiding adult citizens, as defined by applicable federal, state, or local law, and experienced shooters. Prospective participants can demonstrate that they have the requisite knowledge, skills, and attitudes by providing an NRA Basic Pistol Course Certificate, NRA FIRST Steps Course Certificate, NRA pistol competitive shooting qualification card, military DD 214 with pistol qualification, or passing the Pre-Course Assessment.

    This is A 8-9 hours course with 3 parts, most likely it could be finished in 2 days. It includes:

    1. Classroom --- 2-3 hours Classroom teaching;
    2. Virtual Range --- 2 hours Virtual range practice;
    3. Live Range --- 4 hours live range time, students should expect to shoot approximately 100 rounds of ammunition. will complete live fire training and a nationally standardized target shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA Certified Instructors.

    1. Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, 
    2. Strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, 
    3. how to choose a handgun for self-defense, 
    4. Continue opportunities for skill development. 

    The Course Size is 10 or fewer students.


    Fee is $200.00 per person

    $50.00 deposit (none refundable) when booking the balance be paid before class started.


    We offer students who took our NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course A $20.00 discount for continue education.


    Students must wear:

    1. Eye and Ear protection (you may purchase form our store), 
    2. Wear close toed shoes, 
    3. Wear a brimmed cap especially for female students to hold up hair, 
    4. NO lowcut tops, NO skirts for your own protection.

    Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection In The Home handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, the Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, and course completion certificate.
