• NRA Range Safety Officer Training Course

    The NRA Range Safety Officer Course is a hands on one day (9 hours including testing) course conducted in a classroom. You will learn the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and effectively supervising various types of shooting activities and range operations safely.

    There is no live fire and you are not required to bring a firearm or ammunition. We have locker in case you brought your personal firearm.


    The Course: Please note this is an ADULTS ONLY course and requires you to be 21 years of age or older to attend. Students will receive NRA the Range Safety officer Course Handbook.

    • Introduction of NRA Basic Range Safety Officer Course
    • The Role of the NRA Range Safety Officer
    • Range Standard Operating Procedures
    • Range Inspection and Range Rules
    • Range Safety Briefing Emergency Procedures
    • Firearm Stoppages and Malfunctions
    • There is an open book, timed, written test and you must attain a score of 90% at the conclusion of the course to be certified. There are no re-test and your fee will not be reimbursed if you do not pass the test. 

    Max 12 students or fewer.


    The Fee is $150.00 per person

    $50.00 deposit when registration, the balance be paid before class started.


    Please note there is a Range Safety Officer Registration and Processing fee you will need to pay to the NRA after you pass the test to receive your certificate. Certificates are issued directly from the NRA on line. The fee is $26.00 for NRA Members with current membership or $36.00 for non-NRA Members.
